During the sacred Saka Dawa period, hundreds of fish were purchased from a fish farm and subsequently released into the river as part of the traditional life liberation ceremony. Together with the Tashi Jong community and monks, hundreds of fish were returned to the wild. According to Buddhist tradition, this ceremony symbolizes compassion, the protection of life, and the accumulation of merit. Releasing animals during Saka Dawa is an important ritual practice aimed at promoting well-being and peace for all living beings.

Thanks to the support of the Kunphen Foundation, donations could be provided for the pujas performed by elders and adults from the community. Additionally, donations were used for the purchase and release of the fish. We are grateful to all donors for their contribution to these valuable activities.
